The 'Awesome' Power of Your Words: Pt 2

 

In this last installment on the “Awesome Power of Words”, it is my desire that you become fully aware of the effects of the words you say to others as well as to yourself. Bear in mind that ,”As a man thinks so is he.” Do you desire to become a successful network marketer? Then speak success. Do you desire to be healthy? Then by all means ’speak’ and eat healthy. For any challenge that may come your way, instead of asking, “Why me?”… in faith, speak to that mountain.
May the following declarations empower you to reach new levels in your life whether you are an employer, employee, sportsman, or entrepreneur. Although the declarations are adapted from the Bible, they are for anyone who longs to make progress in life.

The 'Awesome' Power of Your Words: Pt 1

Whatever your field of endevour, words are a potent force that you can harness and utilise to your advantage or disadvantage. Words have the power to build or to destroy as events below will show how the course of history was changed both positively and negatively due to the power of words.
Martin Luther King used words(not stones or guns) that touched and impacted the hearts of millions of people the world over. His dream speech started the process of eradicating racism in America.
Dictators like Hitler successfully used the power of words negatively for devilish ambitions. As a result, more than six million Jews lost their lives.
We all remember the mass killings that followed after the leadership of one tribe in Rwanda used the power of words( through radio and word of mouth) to incite their followers to embark on a massacre of genocidal proportions against their fellow citizens belonging to another tribe.
Motivational speakers like the late Jim Rohn inspired and changed many people’s lives using the power of words in a positive way.
Tony Robbin is transforming people’s lives by inspiring them to become all they were meant to be, again using the power of words to actualise his dream.
God created the Universe with words.
More than two thousand years ago, Jesus Christ’s words ignited the hearts of many people to preach the gospel and continues to do so even as I write this article. This is the power of both spoken and written words that has the ability to shift everything in our lives momentarily.
The question you may be asking is how do I go about using words to shape my destiny as an internet intrepreneur.
The first step is to start by conducting a self dialogue , to cause an inward revolution deep down in your heart , soul and mind. This will lead you to decide on the person and future lifestyle you desire. Once you are clear on the path that you would like to follow, think of the words (mantra or slogan ) that you want to feed your mind on , depending on what your dreams are. For instance ,if you want to achieve mastery in internet marketing,a catch-phrases like ‘I ‘m a successful Internet Marketer ‘, repeated daily will set you on this path.
The second step is to take deliberate action in order to consolidate and reinforce the above words into your mind. They say it takes 21 days to create a habit. Why not do that for a better future. Its worthwhile. Take advantage of technology and have the affirmations on your desktop , pin them onto the walls of your bedroom and your study as well. You can also listen to these affirmations on CDs/Mp3 player/iPod that will repeat the words that inspire and motivate you.
The third step is to surround yourself with like- minded people. These are buddies you know will speak your language because they are also seeking what you are after. Be very selective of books you read, movies that you watch and the seminars that you attend. Repeatedly tell yourself ‘I am getting better everyday’,'I am a winner’.
When I decided to become an internet marketer I was not good with computers at all. I could only check my email. My problem was that I was constantly reminding myself that I will never understand how the internet works.That conversation within myself amounted to a confession, that instantly filled me with self-pity and a sense of defeat, thus robbing myself of the power of initiative. Its like a poison in your body that paralyses you or even kills you.
Words are indeed powerful as they can work for us or against us. Part 2 of this subject will give a list of motivational words to inspire us in our daily life

Success With Integrity!

How often have you heard someone make a statement like, “I will succeed at any cost”? While there is nothing wrong with such a declaration as it is designed to empower, it has however, been misinterpreted by others to justify doing immoral things, all in the name of achieving success. It is the intention of this article to remind aspiring and existing entrepreneurs that the process of pursuing success is just as important as succeeding.
If you allow the desire to achieve success cause you to fulfill your dream by bad-mouthing others, walking over dead bodies, it becomes bad success.
If you achieve success by mistreating, backstabbing, violating other people’s rights and doing whatever is necessary to achieve your goals even if it hurts others, then such success becomes meaningless and selfish.
If, on the other hand, you choose to assist others as you rise to the top, and you determine within your heart to treat people kindly and with The Golden Rule in mind at all times, then you will not have to focus on success, it will simply come to you. History shows us clearly that helping others succeed is one of the best ways to attain your own success and increase the level of positivity in the world. Giving back to your Community, sharing your methods with others who can also benefit, and lifting up the spirit of the down-trodden are more the measure of success than money ever could be.
If you want to achieve good success without regret, you must elect to be a business person of honesty and integrity.The word integrity implies completeness,wholeness,and being able to make a promise and keeping it. It is important to maintain your integrity in all your dealings at all times. An entrepreneur of integrity does not wear a mask, but strives to be fair, genuine and treats all with the same respect and courtesy. As an entreprenuer myself, I am forever mindful to never let my burning desire to become successful blind me to what is morally right and honourable.
However, being a business person of integrity is easier said than done, but it will make you stand out above the rest. You will build character that will surely help you achieve lasting success in life, and its a beautiful thing.

Believe In Yourself

The biggest question that bother many of us is that, why is it that some people seem to succeed at whatever they do, and yet some continue a life of struggle despite being talented and even highly educated. A closer look at the successful made me conclude that they have one thing in common and that is they believe in themselves. These are the individuals who know that in order to obtain the results they want in this life, the starting point is in believing in their own abilities, period. They believe in their in-built God given potential whole-heartdly, and do what the fearful majority are afraid of doing due to their lack of belief in themselves.

A Positive Approach is a Prerequisite for Success

 

In the course of operating their businessess entrepreneurs meet challenging situations on a daily basis. However, its how they react that determines their altitude. It is very important for the business owner to know the value of challenges. That challenges are meant to make us strong, many of the great achievers we see today turned obstacles into stepping stones and in the end became successful beyond measure.
Today, I have decided to share a story which I am sure will help to make us appreciate the role of obstacles in our different situations . Lets learn to welcome challenges for our own growth.

A little girl walked daily to and from school. Though the weather that morning was questionable and clouds were forming, she made her daily trip to school. As the afternoon progressed, the winds whipped up, along with thunder and lighting.
The mother of the little girl felt concerned that her daughter would be frightened as she walked home from school, and she herself feared that the electrical storm might harm her child.
Following the roar of thunder, lightning, through the sky and full of concern, the mother quickly got in her car and drove along the route to her child’s school.

Passion Week

1. Arrival in Bethany Friday  John 12:1
    Jesus arrived in Bethany six days before the Passover to spend some time with his friends, Many, Martha 
    and Lazarus.  While here, Mary anointed his feet with costly perfume as an act of humanity.  This tender
    expression indicated Mary's devotion to Jesus and her willingness to serve him.

2. SABBATH  Saturday
    Since this day was the Sabbath, the Lord spent the day in traditional fashion with his friends.

3. The Triumphal Entry  Sunday Mt 21:1:11; Mrk 11:1-11; Lk 19:28-44; Jn 12:12-19
    On the first day of the week Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey, fulfilling an ancient prophecy (Zec
    9:9).  The crowd welcomed him with "Hosanna" and the words of Ps 118:25-26, thus ascribing to him a Messianic title as the agent of the  Lord, the coming King of Israel.

4. Clearing of the Temple  Monday  Mt 21:10-17; Mk 11:15-18; lK 19:45-48
    On this day he returned to the temple and found the court of the Gentiles full of traders and money
    changers making a large profit as they gave out Jewish coins in exchange for "pagan" money.  Jesus drove 
    them out and overturned their tables.

5. Day of Controversy and Parables  Tuesday Mt 21:23-24:51; Mk 11:27-13:37; Lk 20:1-21:36
    In Jerusalem - Jesus evaded the traps set by the priests.
    On the Mount of Olives Overlooking Jerusalem - He taught in parables and warned the people against the
    Pharisees.  He predicted the destruction of Herod's great temple and told his disciples about future events,
    including his own return.

6. Day of Rest   Wednesday (not mentioned in the Gospels)
    The Scriptures do not mention this day, but the counting of the days (Mk 14:1; Jn 12:1) seems to indicate
    that there was another day concerning which the Gospels record nothing.

7. Passover Last Supper   Thursday  Mt 26: 17-30; Mk 14:12-26; Lk 22: 7-23; Jn 13:1-30
    In an upper room Jesus prepared both himself and his disciples for his death. He gave the Passover meal
    a new meaning.  The loaf of bread and cup of wine represented his body soon to be sacrificed and his
    blood soon to be shed.  And so he instituted the "Lord's Supper."  After singing a hymn they went to the
    Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus prayed in agony, knowing what lay ahead for him.

    Following betrayal, arrest, desertion, false trials, denial, condemnation, beatings and mockery, Jesus was
    required to carry his cross to "The Place of the Skull," where he was crucified with two other prisoners.

9. In the Tomb  Friday Mt 27:57-61; Mk 15:42-47; Lk 23:50-56; Jn 19:38-42
    Jesus' body was placed in the tomb before 6:00 p.m Friday night, when the Sabbath began and all work
    stopped, and it lay in the tomb throughout the Sabbath.

10. Resurrection  Sunday  Mt 28:1-13; Mk 16: 1-20; Lk 24: 1-49; Jn 20: 1-31
      Early in the morning, women went to the tomb and found that the stone closing the tomb's entrance had
      rolled back.  An angel told them Jesus was alive and gave them a message.  Jesus appeared to Mary
      Magdalene in the garden, to Peter, to two disciples on the road to Emmaus, and later that day to all the
     disciples but Thomas.  His resurrection was established as a fact.

Keep Trying Fellow Entrepreneurs!

We all know the true story of Thomas Edison and of his more than one thousand patents for numerous inventions, including, of course, the electric light bulb, the phonograph, and the motion-picture projector.  But people rarely stop to think of all the failures he experienced along the road to those great achievements.  Its recorded that, on one occasion. Edison and his associates were working in their New Jersey laboratory, trying to perfect an invention and meeting up with failure upon failure.  Finally, one of Edison's assistants threw up his hands and said, "What a waste!  We have tried over seven hundred experiments, and every one was a failure!  We're no better off than when we began!"

"Oh, yes, we are,"  Edison replied with a buoyant smile.  "We know seven hundred approaches that won't work.  We're getting closer all the time!"

That is the attitude of winners.  They NEVER give up!  No triumphs and trophies come cheap.  Your online business may be struggling at the moment, but you know what, hang in there, keep working, keep learning and motivating yourself.   You will make it to the other end.  Quitters will never succeed! It's always too soon to throw in the towel.

UNUTTERABLE DEVASTATION

We have all seen and heard the woes that befell Japan.  It is frightening indeed.  This is beyond human comprehension.  The 8.9 magnitude earthquake also unleashed a tsunami that left a trail of destruction in its wake.  My prayers and thoughts go out to all the people of Japan at this time.

Meanwhile, CNN last night reported that the earthquake was so strong it moved the main island of Japan by 2.4m and shifted the Earth on its axis.  Reports from Italy's National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology estimated the quake shifted the planet on its axis by nearly 10cm.

Inspite of all this hopelesness and gloom ,God remains God and has not lost control.Solomon acknowledged the Kingship of God when he wrote in the book of Ecclesiastes the following and I quote "When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider: God has made the one as well as the other.....".

I hope that the people of Japan will get comfort knowing that the world is behind them. Given the resilience and  reputation of being a hardworking nation, Japan will rise from the ashes.

Success Isn’t Important

It may sound like the wrong thing to say, especially as an entrepreneur and business owner who desires to have success, but success isn’t important. HOW you succeed is. If you achieve success by mistreating people and doing whatever is necessary to achieve your goals even if it hurts others, then success won’t mean anything. If, on the other hand, you choose to help others as you rise to the top, and you choose to treat people kindly and with The Golden Rule in mind at all times, then you will not have to focus on success; it will simply come to you. Helping others succeed is one of the best ways to improve your own success and increase the level of positivity in the world. Giving back to your community, sharing your methods with others who can also benefit, and lifting up the spirit of the downtrodden are more the measure of your success than money ever could be.

CHRISTCHURCH LIES IN RUINS

As has been reported worldwide, yesterdays 6.3 magnitude earthquake caused untold chaos in Christchurch as panicking and upset people checked for the whereabouts of their loved ones in the rubble.

The 12.51pm quake struck 10 kilometres south-east of our second largest city Christchurch at a shallow depth of five kilometres and was followed  by a series of powerful aftershocks.

I live in a small town which is 74 kilometres from the epicentre, and the whole town felt the quake's violent shaking, surprisingly and miraculously no one was hurt.  However, the situation was different in  CHRISTCHURCH.  Many people have lost their lives, more bodies are being discovered, more survivors are being rescued and some are having to be amputated to free them from underneath the debris.  I would not wish such pain even on my worst enemy. 

Police have reported multiple fatalities at several locations in the down town area, including the two buses which were crushed by falling buildings.

The city centre is resembling a war zone and the damage is immense and the needs are correspondingly huge.  The Earthquake ruptured sewer,  water lines and powerlines, which were still under repair from September 4, 2010,  earthquake whose magnitude was 7.1.. It struck in the early hours of the morning
and therefore no one was killed,BUT this one struck midday, the time the central city was packed with lunch-hour shoppers..

Its reported that the death toll is already the second highest in a New Zealand earthquake - outranked only by the 7.9 violent earthquake which struck Hawke's Bay killing 256 people.

What has happened to our  city only helps us to know that, things can take an unexpected turn just like that.  It is a terrifying experience to feel the earth moving beneath you.  I cannot describe it well enough, but what I know is that you feel powerless and helpless.  No one can stand up to mother nature, except the One who created it.  Yes, what is happening right now is painfuland devastating and as human beings, we will never comprehend why these disasters happen.

Let us join together to pray for the people of Christchurch, that the Almighty God will comfort them in these very difficult and trying times.

ATTENTION ONLINE ENTREPRENEURS!

The World we live in is shrinking, it has been villagized.  Thats how I can sum up the Tweeter effect.

Twitter was not taken seriously by the adult world when it started.  Naysayers laughed and dismissed its potential as an effective social medium.  Today Twitter has become, surprisingly, a force to reckon with .
I take my hat off to the pioneer Jack Dorsey.  What would  the world be like without people like Dorsey and others, who think outside the box.  I thank the Almighty, the Creator of the Universe for these fearless individuals.  Indeed, the world would be poorer without them.

Love it or Hate it, Twitter is here to stay, its solidity is not in doubt.  Independent statistics show that well over 6 million people use Twitter and the number keep growing bymore than ten thousand each day.  Wow, isnt that remarkable?  According to Twitter, about 65 million tweets are posted each day, which translates to about 750 tweets sent each second.  It is handling over 800 000 search queries per day. A good growth indicator.  Bear in mind that Twitter was created in March 2006 and launched in July 2006, and four years later has more than 190 million users. 

For the sake of those new to Tweeter...Visitors to twitter site are called in the tweeting world, "Social Users".These people (me included) log on to keep in touch with friends or follow their favorite celebrities.  Savvy Entrepreneurs, Professionals, and Churches are now using it to stay in contact with what is happening around the globe.  For  business people, this is particularly very beneficial for networking purposes and creating that online presence.

Personally, I have found these social platforms to be good places to develop and expand my world.  I follow role models like John Maxwell, Pastor T D Jacks, Mike Murdock, Jim Rohn,  Stephen Covey, Donald Trump, Robert Kiyosaki, Tony Robbins and many more who inspire me to live life to the maximum. 

The World has moved on and continues to move .  The world of yesterday is now history and  there it will remain. In...enters the INTERNET AGE.  I don't know what the future holds, but what I know is that we have to face each day with an open mind.  Those with open minds are already positioning themselves courtesy of the social media and maximizing the moment. A few months ago I made a decision to learn what internet marketing was all about.  I must admit that when I left my country of birth Zimbabwe coming to New Zealand I had very little knowledge on how to use a computer.  I was never interested at all, deep down I felt intimidated by the internet world.  However, life has a way of dealing with people who don't believe in themselves.  Because of circumstances beyong my control I found myself joining a marketing firm based in the USA to learn how to market anything , anywhere in the world , be it Online or Offline , and ultimately to be able to use the power of the internet to generate some income.

Let me begin by saying that learning Internet Marketing with almost zero internet knowledge was like learning a whole new language.  Terms like search engines, metatags, ezines, opt-in, hosting pages, autoresponders and CTR (click through rate) or PPC (pay per click) was foreign and confusing but very interesting.

Now , lets look at what exactly is Internet Marketing.....Internet Marketing is simply the marketing/selling of products or services over the internet.  It is the same when you would buy your bread or shirt from your local shop/s.  Actually, goods and services are purchased 24/7 on the www (World Wide Web).

The statistics show that the internet is growing faster than any other invention known to mankind. Its unbelievable that more than 80% of consumer purchases begin with an internet search, and 75% of business do business transactions on the internet as well.

By end of 1995, there were more than 16 million Internet users.
Beginning of year 2000, Internet users had jumped to almost 248 million.
By June 2005, there were  938 million Internet users.
End of 2010, users were said to be 1.8 billion.

The Internet continues to grow, and so are opportunities that would never have been possible and available to people like you and me.  It is true that we live in the age of the great equalizer.  The digital world has arrived and the fearless and risk takers are making real money using the power of the web.  The Internet is the most extraordinary money making device ever created for the so called 'commoner' to make money.   There is no more excuses.  I repeat, we have no excuse to remain uninformed and struggling. 

From what I learned when I was receiving training, we have no reason to fear using the internet to conduct businesses.  It is the future, according to Entrepreneur magazine, the average home-based business household earns $50 250 a year.  And about 20% of all home-business households earn in excess of $75 000 a year.  Some are earning very handsome commissions just for being affiliates.  Its very interesting and exciting today, anyone can start a business and reach out to any market niche in the world with a good idea,and a laptop with internet connection.

What is also great about doing business online is that, the cost and risk are lower compared to a brick and motor (traditional business), I will give my Lolly Shop business as an example...

My  heart goes to the people of Brazil and Australia.  Reports continue to come in and
things dont look good at the moment.  What is so frustrating is that even the police or the army
cant stop or fight against nature....who can blame them?

Imagine that a city as big as Brisbane in a very short time has become a big flowing waterway.
Unbelievable indeed!  Ya, things can change anytime -today is the only day you have, be grateful,
and tomorrow is yet to come, why not pray for it.

We are indeed powerless, helpless and NOTHING when it comes to the power of mother nature.

Money,money ..money.  We cannot do without it!  Money is not everything but we are agreed that it makes life better.

Money is defined as any object, that is generally accepted as payment for goods and services and repayment of debts in a given country.  The main functions of money are therefore distinguished as...a medium of exchange; a unit of account and a store of value.  Money derives its value by being declared by Government to be legal tender, which means it must be accepted as a form of payment within the stipulations and boundaries of the country, for all debts, public and private.

The word "money" is believed historically to originate from a temple of Hera, located on Capitoline, one of Rome's seven hills.  In the ancient world Hera was often associated with money.  The temple of Juno Moneta at Rome was the place where the mint of ancient Rome was located.  The name "Juno" may derive from the Etruscan goddess Uni (which means "the one" "unique", "unit", "union", "united") and "Moneta" either from the Latin word "monere" (remind, warn, or instruct) or the Greek word "moneres" (alone, unique).  In the Western World, a prevelent term for coin-money has been specie, stemming from Latin in specie, meaning "in kind".

Financial worries are common these days.  Many people are knee-deep in debt, most of it is consumer debt driven.  Yes, personal debt is at an all-time high.  Many companies are equally debt ridden, they are in financial troubles surviving on bank overdrafts.  The majority of employees are not sure how long they will  remain in employment, making it hard to plan their financial futures.  So-called job security is no more.  Corporate "rightsizing" or "restructuring is a catch word these days all over the globe.

However, amidst all these uncertain conditions, one of the first things wise people realize  is the old adage, "If it is to be, it is up to me."  Wow, how true and powerful-- the ball is in your court, your financial success and your course is up to you.  It simply means that you take total responsibility for your life and your future.

Here are a few principles for cash management that have been proven time and time again to fit an economic situation, be it in high inflation or low, in depression or recession and even a monetary collapse as happened to my beloved Zimbabwe:

1. Avoid going into debt especially consumer one.
2. Live within your means.
3. Save and invest (seek advice from gurus).
4. Set long-term financial goals.
5. Everything you have belongs to God (He is Lord of the whole earth, of everything in it- and of everything you own - therefore acknowledge Him.)

Here are some of the advantages of implement these principles:
-People who follow these principles will accumulate interest on their investments instead of paying out interest on debts.  It follows then that in times of high inflationm the people who follow these guidelines will see their net worth go up while the net worth of everyone around them is being eaten up by rising prices and interest.
-In good economic times the same principles result in lower spending, lower interest payments, and greater money set aside for emergencies and financial freedom.
-If there is a monetary collapse...it will be those who are spending less than they earn, who have savings, who have immoveable assets, and who have avoided debts who will be in the best position to weather those times.

You owe it to yourselt to start asking yourself the following questions: which way do I want my financial life to go?  What other option is there for me?  What opportunities are available out there?  Answers to these questions, will open up your mind to what is possible for you.
